Chelsea "were the other club that wanted Martial"

He couldn't make much of an impact as Manchester United were swept aside at Arsenal on Sunday, but Anthony Martial was still their best player and, according to the Manchester Evening News, he could have been Chelsea's.
The paper says that Martial, 19, turned down the Londoners in order to move to United from Monaco following claims from Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev that "another club another club offered even more than United" for the teenager before he opted to move to Old Trafford.
Anthony Martial has scored three goals and notched one assist in the Premier League since joining Man United.
Chelsea had hoped to strike a deal that would have seen the teenager staying in the principality for a year before coming to London. But United swooped in a move that could eventually be worth £58 million, and have been rewarded with goals and some dazzling performances.
