Woman Gets Booted Off Flight, Prompting Fellow Passengers to Boo Crew
A woman got booted off her American Airlines
flight this weekend from Phoenix to Portland prior to departure, and
video of the incident appears to show that she at least had the
sympathies of some of her fellow passengers.
Bill Byrne was seated in the row behind the woman and recorded the incident.
Passenger Who Allegedly Kissed, Punched Flight Attendant IdentifiedVideo: Flight Diverted to Denver Following Unruly Passenger Incident“You’re so mean to me. I didn’t do anything,” the woman can be heard saying in the video. “This can’t be legal.”The woman eventually stood up and exited the plane. Other passengers can be heard voicing their opinions, some booing the crew and one person even promising to never fly with the company again.
The passenger was booked on the next flight to Portland free of charge.
“I’ve seen people who deserve that, but never actually seen somebody thrown off a plane,” Byrne told ABC affiliate KATU.
It’s
still unclear why crew members requested the passenger to be taken off
the flight. American Airlines declined to comment as it is part of its
investigation.
A spokeswoman
for American Airlines told ABC News today that the company is aware of
the incident and are investigating to better understand what happened
